- SASE
- Acronym for Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope: an unused envelope addressed to the sender with return postage affixed.
- SASSONE
- Italian stamp catalogue of Italy, Vatican City, San Marino, Italians colonies and old Italian states.
- SCOTT
- American stamp catalogue. It covers American and worldwide stamps.
- SELF-ADHESIVE
- Stamp with adhesive on its back side; it does not have to be moinstened to adhere to paper. Very common in last years.
- SET
- A series of stamps with similar design or purpose.
- SET OF FOUR
- Block of four stamps in two lines: their value is usually higher then the sum of single stamp values.
- SIZE
- The size of the stamp, in mm.
- STANLEY GIBBONS
- Worldwide British stamp catalogue.
- STOCKBOOK
- Book with horizontal pockets to hold stamps.
- STRIP
- A series of three (or more) stamps joined together either horizontally or vertically
- SWAPS
- Duplicate stamps used for trading purpose.
