- MARCOPHILY
- Collecting all types of postal markings.
- MARGIN
- The portion of unprinted paper that surrounds a stamp.
- MH
- Mint Hinged: mint stamp to which a hinge or stamp mount has been applied
- MICHEL
- German worldwide stamp catalogue.
- MINT
- Never used stamp with perfect gum.
- MLH
- Mint Lightly Hinged: stamp to which a hinge has been applied; in this case the gum disturbance is light.
- MNH
- Mint Never Hinged: stamp to which has never been applied a hinge or stamp mount. Its gum is perfectly new.
- MODERN
- Philatelic period from the end of Second World War to 1969, year of the man in the moon.
- MULTICOLOR
- Stamp printed in many colours.
