The new 2,50 € stamp
07/01/2016 - New Year, new arrival in the current regular issue of Germany: on Saturday 2nd January, the Postal Service has issued a stamp with a value of €2.50. It displays a beautiful Alpine thistle [Carduus defloratus], a perennial herbaceous plant, with characteristic spiny leaves and beautiful purple flowers. They can be found almost everywhere on the European mountains.
The characteristics of this new stamp are common to the other stamps of the series.
