A.M.G. F.T.T.
Allied Military Governement Free Territory of Trieste. From 1947 to 1954 stamps for so-called Zona A of Trieste had this overprint.
A.M.G. V.G.
Allied Military Governement Venezia Giulia: overprint on Italian stamps of Trieste and Venezia Giulia areas. It was replaced in 1947, only for Trieste, by A.M.G. F.T.T. overprint
ACCUMULATION
Large collection of stamps and philatelic objects that have not been arranged in any particular order
AEROGRAM
Lightweight paper with gummed flaps transported by air to other countries
AEROPHILATELY
Branch of collecting that deals with airmail stamps, cover and their usage
AIR MAIL
Any form of mail transported by air. Many countries issued stamps for this kind of postage. The first air mail stamp of the world was issued by Italy in 1917.
AMG
Allied Military Governement: system of civil administration established by Allies towards the end of WW II as enemy-occupied territory was occupied
AUTHORIZED DELIVERY
Stamp for special mail to be delivered by private services.
